Grand Theft Quiz?

Sat Aug 9, 2008, 4:05 PM
  • Mood: Tired
  • Listening to: On Your Mark - Chage & Aska
  • Reading: The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
  • Watching: The Olympics. XD Brazil VS North Korea in soccer.
  • Playing: Trace Memory
  • Eating: I've eaten plenty, thank you.
  • Drinking: I don't think I've drank nearly enough today.
To create filler in my bare journal, I'm stealing a quiz from :icongreenbindergirl:

STEP ONE: Put your music player on shuffle.
STEP TWO: Post the first line from the first thirty songs that plays, no matter how embarrassing. (I’m assuming that if a song comes up with no lyrics, you just skip it.)
STEP THREE: Check off the songs when someone guesses both the artist and song title correctly.
STEP FOUR: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is what whores do for money.

Likewise, I won't put any Japanese songs either, but I wonder if I should limit myself to Japanese artists who are singing English lyrics... Maybe I'll include one as a special.

1. "The girls are out to Bingo and the boys are gettin' stinko."

2. "Hel-hello, this is Stacy the computer. Good morning, Simon, I trust you slept we-well. W-Will you be searching for tru-true love today?"

3. "The leaves are falling all around/ It's time I was on my way."

4. "There's a calm surrender to the rush of the day/ When the heat of the rolling world can be turned away"

5. "Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play?" Dear Prudence by The Beatles

6. "I am so high, I can hear heaven/ I am so high hear heaven."

7. "Begin the day with a friendly voice/ A companion unobtrusive."

8. "I got stones in my passway/ And my road seems dark at night/"

9. "Making my way downtown, walking fast/ Faces passed and I'm home bound."

10. "World turns black and white/ Pictures in an empty room."

11. "Spend my days with a woman in kind/ smoke my stuff and drank all my wine."

12. "Tommy used to work on the docks/ Union's been on strike." Livin' On A Prayer by Bon Jovi

13. "I won't mistake/ You, for problems with me."

14. "There are those who think that life has nothing left to chance take/ A host of holy horrors to direct our aimless dance."

15. "And the men who hold high places/ Must be the ones who start."

16. "I wanna have the same last dream again/ The one where I wake up, and I'm alive"

17. "Oh and I'm feeling directionless yes/ But that's to be expected, and I know that best."

18. "I never knew so many bad times/ Could follow me so mercilessly."

19. "I am a one way motorway/ I'm the one that drives away then follows you back home."

20. "There's another world inside of me that you may never see/ There's secrets in this life that I can't hide."

21. "When he was a kid, he'd be up at five/ Take shots 'till eight, make the thing drive."

22. "No one ever said I was a gullible girl/ I don't believe everything that I'm told."

23. "She calls out to the man on the street/ Sir, can you help me?"

24. "Shed a tear 'cause I'm missin' you/ I'm still alright to smile."

25. "(Love) Love is a verb, Love is a doing word/ Feathers on my breath." Teardrop by Massive Attack

26. "I'm on the road to Viridian City!"

27. "It's only two o'clock and the temperature's beginning to soar/ And all around the city you see the walking wounded and the living dead."

28. "Lost boys and golden girls, down on the corner and all around the world."

29. "Uno. Dos. Tres. Catorce!"

30. "I know that I will never be politically correct/ And I don't give a damn about my lack of etiquette."

Bonus: This song is sung my Japanese vocalists, but the lyrics are English. Good Luck.

"I'm so alone in a crowd and cry, too many tears/ Just like a child who's lost, I became a prisoner to my fears."

P.S. What I'm listening to might give a huge hint to the artist. X3

P.S.S. I just played a bunch of soccer today, and I have two more games tomorrow. I almost need to sleep 12 hours to recover. <<

Cynic: noun. 2. One of a sect of Greek philosophers, 4th Century BC, who advocated the doctrines that virtue is the only good, that the essence of virtue is self-control, and that surrender to any external influence is beneath human dignity.

That second definition of cynic? :?

I don't know what to tell you. I wish the meaning of 'the second definition of cynic' could be deeper than that, but you saw right through me. Clever.

That still makes you silly.

RingoPomme.

Ringo = Ringo Star?
Pomme = Apple in French. Apple has many meanings, from Beatles all the way to a connection with stars on an apple tree. You can see most of the apples in your tree, but you won't be able to see all the apples in the forest from there. Like Stars.

Or it could just be a representation of the company logo, Apple Records, a recording company the Beatles appropriately founded.

I regress from that long and drawn out interpretation of your username. I think it's really sweet.

Hahahah. ;)

Ringo means apple in Japanese. It's also a reference to Ringo Starr, because I love the Beatles.

But all that stuff you said about the Beatles, I had no idea. I didn't know that apples connected to them at all. XD I just like apples. They're my favorite fruit. Plus, I thought it would be kind of funny to have a username in which both parts mean the same thing. RingoPomme = AppleApple.

:D

What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a fawn in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.

I has a lemon! :lemon:
